| UPS Product Summary The UPS model you should choose has a lot to do with the problems you need the UPS to address. The most basic factors for selecting a UPS model include power quality requirements, the size of the load to be powered and the length of time the UPS battery support will be needed once utility power goes out. Juice Goose offers two types of UPS design. Line Interactive UPS models regulate utility line voltage and switch to battery only when utility power fails. The XVRT-PRO Series feature line interactive models. By changing output taps on a voltage buck-boost transformer, these UPSs can compensate for line voltage that is above or below desired levels. This voltage regulation reduces potential battery use and provides improved power for connected equipment. XVRT-PRO models also provide AC surge protection and up to 50dB of filtration against high frequency power line noise. Other features include tower, rack or wall mounting (with additional hardware), multiple communication options, local status monitoring and RJ45 line protection. The PRO Series models, available only from Juice Goose, have all the great features of the standard XVRT Series plus an extended four year warranty on all electronics and a three year warranty on the batteries. You don't need a power conditioner with an on-line UPS. No power disturbance of any nature - no matter how microscopic or brief - can reach equipment connected to an on-line UPS. Therefore, mission critical and highly sensitive electronics are protected in the best way possible. That's why it's not necessary to add a power conditioner or expensive power conditioning circuitry to an on-line UPS. There are four models of on-line UPS in the NXRT-PRO Series. All models are rack mountable and feature optional external battery modules that can extend UPS run time. Other features include local and remote monitoring and full data network interface. The NXRT-PRO Series models feature an extended four year warranty on all electronics, a three year warranty on the batteries and a professional grade rack rail mounting kit.
